a bit of baking

Hello! I just wanted to do a quick post to show you what I've been up to lately with regards to my cake business venture! Now I've got my business cards, leaflets, and even a banner, so now I just have to get out there! I'm a little bit nervous about handing out my adverts in shops etc though! But so far I've had a few orders come through via Facebook lately and I have lots booked for Valentines Day so things are going well so far!

Most recently I made these lovely vanilla smooth buttercream cupcakes. I'm thrilled with how these cupcakes for a bride-to-be turned out. She requested some samples to try for her wedding day in this design with their initials on, and I'm so happy with them! I think they look proper professional considering I made them myself lol. I took so much care with them and she loved them and wants to confirm an order for her wedding day.. yay! I love making people happy with the power of cake! I really like the idea of having personalised cupcakes for your wedding day too, so cute.

I also had an order for my trademark vintage tea party cupcakes! I love making these. They're so pretty! I use a rose swirl for the buttercream and pretty pastel colours for the icing shapes, and then I stick on some pretty coloured pearls! I want someone to make me these for my birthday haha. They look a bit yellowy in the photo due to the flash! Check out my cakes in Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire website to see more. Also I've had one session of my cake course classes at college so far, as one was bloody cancelled because of the snow! But I have my second class later today and it's so much fun! I'm going to learn all kinds of cool stuff which I'm sure I will show you.
