dressing table

I think all girls (little and grown up) dream of one day owning a perfect dressing table. It's one of those princess type items that are so beautiful and classic. I unfortunately do not yet own my ideal dressing table, and for now I make do with a white desk which doesn't quite have the charm of a dressing table. I did a blog post on my little desk area back in January, which is part work space and part beauty zone! As much as I like my desk and find the shelving very practical, I would love to have some pretty drawers to hide my goodies away in! I hope that when I get my own place I will have enough space (and money) to buy a dressing table (John Lewis sell some lovely ones!) and put somewhere without it looking too cramped. I'd love a big pretty mirror on top too. 

Modern or shabby chic, dressing tables are the perfect piece of furniture to transform your bedroom or dressing room into your own dreamy boudoir. They look so pretty draped with jewellery and storing your favourite pieces of make up. I'd love one with a big mirror and sculped legs. I also love the cushioned stool type seats! They'd look lovely with vintage style hatboxes stored underneath and decorated with candles, perfume bottles, or flowers. White would of course be my colour of choice, against a pretty floral wallpaper. Ahhh, a girl can dream right?! Here are some photos I found whilst looking for inspiration on Pinterest.
