A bit of Lana Del Ray for you there ;) Anyway todays blog post is dedicated to Ladies Day fashion at the annual horse racing events! You may already know that the Cheltenham Horse racing festival will be taking place during the middle of March, and during the week, Ladies Day is a chance for females attending to make a fashion statement to be proud of. This always amuses me as I love seeing the photos that come out in the Daily Mail the next day of loads of drunk women revealing too much flesh in lots of crazy outfits and hats! Some of my past favourites of these will be featured below...
As it's regarded as a special occasion, and highlight for many on the calendar, it's nice to see so many ladies make an effort to dress up smart for the afternoon, even though rain is almost guaranteed. But the weather rarely dampens the spirits of British women where dressing up and goingout is concerned.. Ladbrokes have asked me to put together some outfit ideas, so here are some of my top picks for what I would wear if I was to attend such an event.
I'd probably go for something brightly coloured because I rarely get the chance to wear bold colours! I'd also love to wear a fitted shift style dress like the turquoise one from Oasis, but I'm not sure I have the figure for it! Heels and a clutch (and a silly hat, none featured) are also an essential, and how gorgeous are those Ted Baker floral peep toes! Wow, if only I was loaded!
