easter & spring time

How bizarre has the weather been lately? Over here it's been really odd, sudden bursts of sunshine inbetween thick snow storms! Very strange! Picking my outfits for work has been a task in itself as I'm always boiling hot in the office! Anyway, despite the weather being confused, it is actually now spring time!! Yippee! I'm sure you're all as excited as I am about soon being able to ditch the woollen coats and thick tights! Soon will come the sandals and bare legs and I cannot wait. Summer is almost always disappointing in England though, but Spring is often a beautiful time of year.

Easter is fairly early this year, but I have already started preparing, thanks to a few beautiful gifts sent to me from DotComGiftShop. They are one of my favourite online stores for finding pretty little nick-nacks and vintage style gifts and homewares. Their products are always very well priced and there's a huge range of stuff to choose from! Browsing their website is always very inspiring, and I decided to take inspiration from their website, and make my own 'Easter Tree'! Like a Christmas dress, but for Spring time! How exciting I hear you say...

Quite a cute idea I thought, and when I saw DotComGiftShop sold a range of pretty wooden hanging decorations, I decided that decorating a twig thing we have in our dining room was an excellent idea! So I used the following products to make an Easter tree which is now featuring on our dining room table and is certainly a talking point for visitors! A range of Easter decorations are sold from DotComGiftShop here. I think it looks pretty cute and cheerful! The decorations are wooden and handpainted in pretty pastel colours, and then hung up with colourful string.

I'm sure you also noticed this cute little fella in the photos too.. well he is my lovely new rabbit night light! He's a bargain at only £4.95, and I think he's quite adorable. I'd seen these on a few peoples Instagram photos so I'm glad to now have one myself. He looks super cute in the day time... and then at night.. oooh!!

And finally, these little glass bowls came in handy for Mothers Day baking and I'm sure they will at Easter too! This set of 5 Paisley Rose Glass Bowls are only £12.95 and have really pretty rose design plastic clip on lids. Each design is different, and the bowls range from large 18cm's to cute little 9cm's! They're heat resistant too.. handy! I've been using them to store left over buttercream mix in :)
